       zum Nationalgericht und Ausdruck von Feierkultur in ganz Afghanistan. Mit d
      er Zeit, als das Gericht für breitere Bevölkerungsschichten zugänglich wurde
      , wandelte sich auch sein Name zu Qabeli Palaw – eine Anspielung auf die Kun
      stfertigkeit der Köchinnen und Köche, abgeleitet vom Dari-Wort „qabel“, das 
      so viel bedeutet wie „fähig, würdig oder kompetent“. Heute, in Zeiten politi
      scher Repression und gesellschaftlicher Krise unter der Herrschaft der Talib
      an, steht das Essen auch für die Widerstandskraft einer Kultur, die nicht ve
      rstummt.</p>
