building Bridges: Training course for interreligious competence
Through interactive methods and practical exercises, participants gain a deeper understanding of religious and cultural contexts, especially in Salzburg. The program is aimed at people of all faiths and also at those without a religious confession who are interested in interreligious exchange or work in this field professionally. The course consists of three full-day modules on Saturdays and two evening events. The modules cover topics such as identity formation, the interaction between culture and religion and the importance of human rights in religious traditions. A special highlight is the visit to the mosque, where interfaith encounters are explored in greater depth. In addition, gender roles in Islam and Christianity will be examined and interreligious dialog will be put to the test in a round table discussion entitled “In search of...” will be tried out in practice.
