Arabic, Japanese, Spanish and Persian classes are offered at the AAI this winter term. Further, a Chinese Corner takes place once monthly.

 

The language courses allow you to learn more about the country and its people and meet nice colleauges at the same time. Native-speaking teachers, a relaxed setting and small numbers of participants with a maximum of 10 people promote the special language acquisition.

Dates: Every Monday from 6 to 7:30 pm, starting on 9th October 2023 running until to the end of the winter term.

Prerequisites: none.

Goals: Basic knowledge; acquisition of writing and oral competences; introduction into the grammar; basic knowledge of the Arabic alphabet; general vocabulary; everyday situations: introducing oneself, family, talking about yourself, arrange an appointment, tell the time; sentence construction; reading and understanding of simple texts.

 

Dates: Every Thursday from 09 to 10:30 am, starting on 19th October 2023 running until December.

Prerequisites: Solid knowledge of Kana and basic Kanji. Basic knowledge of Japanese grammar (e.g. adjectives in present, past tense as well as in superlatives, various interrogative sentence as well as Te-form and Nai-form of verbs). Capability of simple usage of everyday language: ordering in a restaurant, making a phone call. Numbering system. Asking for permission.

Goals: Enlargement and consolidation of basic reading, listening, speaking and writing skills. Competences in the field of culture and regional studies.

 

 

 

 

Dates: Every Friday from 9 to 10:30 o’clock, starting on 20th October 2023 running until December.

Goals: Basic knowledge of vocabularies,HIRAGANA skills. Simple sentence constructions (present and past tense), with which the participants can be involved in everyday life basic conversations. Introducing oneself, tell the time and calendar days. Learning oral and written basic skills: Conversation about diverse daily themes and leisure activities. Information on/discussion about culture and country.

 

 

 

Dates: Every Wednesday from 6:30 to 8 pm, starting on 18th October 2023 running until to the end of the winter term.

Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of the Persian alphabet, introducing oneself, understanding and formulating simple sentences.

Goals: Consolidation of basic knowledge, learning of grammatical, written and oral competences, everyday situations, competences in Persian culture and regional knowledge.

 

 

Dates: Every Tuesday from 6:30 to 8 pm, starting on 10th October 2023 running until to the end of the winter term.

Prerequisites: Confident language use at A2+ level, subjuntivo, past tenses.

Goals: Consolidation of conditional and subjunctive tenses, expanding vocabulary through reading and discussing in a dynamic and cooperative environment, conversations about travelling, music and culture, animating surprise topics.

The Chinese Corner provides a platform for Chinese learners to meet and practice their Mandarin with native speakers. The Chinese Corner offers participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in the language and culture and build confidence in speaking Chinese. In an interactive and relaxed environment, participants can feel comfortable and improve their Chinese language skills.
