Arabic, Japanese, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Persian classes are offered at the AAI this winter term.

 

The language courses allow you to learn more about the country and its people and meet nice colleauges at the same time. Native-speaking teachers, a relaxed setting and small numbers of participants with a maximum of 10 people promote the special language acquisition.

Dates: Every Monday from 6 to 7:30 pm, starting on 14th October 2024 running until to the end of the winter term.

Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of Arabic script; introduction of oneself; understanding and formulation of simple sentences.

Goals: Consolidation of grammar knowledge; improvement of written and oral skills; expansion of general vocabulary; everyday situations; personal description; writing short notes.

 

Dates: Every Monday from 6:30 to 8 pm, starting on 7th October 2024 running until to the end of the winter term.

Prerequisites: Persian alphabet, basic grammatical knowledge, basic vocabulary, understanding and formulating simple sentences.

Goals: Deepening basic knowledge, learning grammatical, written and oral skills, talking about everyday situations, culture and leisure activities, competences in the field of culture and regional studies.

 

 

Dates: Every Tuesday from 6:30 to 8 pm, starting on 8th October 2024 running until to the end of the winter term.

Prerequisites: Confident language use at A2+ level, subjuntivo, past tenses.

Goals: Vocabulary development through reading and discussion in a dynamic and co-operative environment. Conversations about travelling, music and culture will be held, with exciting surprise topics. Some grammar will also be covered in the course.

Dates: Every Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30 pm, starting on 9th October 2024 running until to the end of the winter term.

The Chinese Corner provides a platform for Chinese learners to meet and practice their Mandarin with native speakers. The Chinese Corner offers participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in the language and culture and build confidence in speaking Chinese. In an interactive and relaxed environment, participants can feel comfortable and improve their Chinese language skills.

Prerequisites: none

Goals: Basic language knowledge; acquisition of writing and oral competences; introduction into the grammar; acquisition of the general vocabulary; everyday situations; making short notes, reading and understanding of simple texts.

 

 

 

Dates: Every Thursday from 9 to 10:30 o’clock, starting on 17th October 2024 running until December.

Prerequisites: Basic vocabulary. Knowledge of HIRAGANA. Very simple sentence constructions in present and past tense. (Self-)introduction. Numbers. Calendar days.

Learning objectives: Teaching further basic oral and written skills: Talking about everyday life and leisure activities. Consolidation of KANA knowledge. Information/discussions on culture and regional studies.

 

 

 

 

Dates: Every Thursday from 11 to 12:30 am, starting on 17th October 2024 running until December.

Prerequisites: Solid knowledge of KANA and systematic knowledge of KANJI. Solid basic knowledge of grammar (adjectives in the present and past tense also in the superlative, various interrogative constructions as well as Te-form and Nai-form of the verb). Skills in everyday language use.

Goals: Expansion/deepening of basic knowledge in the areas of reading, listening, speaking and writing. Competences in the area of culture and regional studies.
