   bodytext =>protected'<p>How much time do people in different parts of the world devote to their w
      ork per week and year? Where and why do people have difficulties finding acc
      ess to work? What social limits or freedoms are associated with the various 
      working time and leisure models? What do these say about work-life balance? 
      Under what conditions do people work efficiently? And how happy are people w
      ith their work and their lives in this respect? Hunter-gatherers, such as th
      e Khoisan in the Kalahari, work (gather and hunt) an average of 15 hours a w
      eek to earn a living. This leaves them plenty of time for other activities (
      leisure). In contrast, until 2018 it was common for South Koreans to work up
       to 68 hours a week. For many, the working day ran into the night. However, 
      an OECD study found that people did not work as efficiently as in countries 
      with shorter working hours. The country also reduced the maximum permitted w
      orking hours per week to 52 hours due to other social factors. Reducing work
      ing hours is increasingly on everyone's lips worldwide in view of new techno
      logical developments. Where are societies heading on these issues? And what 
      can intersectional perspectives contribute to this debate? In a retreat-like
       setting, we would like to invite visitors to reflect on work, time and life
      . Interactive moments and impulses that casually invite creative activity ar
      e intended to help shape this space and promote dialogue.</p>
