Formats
The recurring formats of the Afro-Asian Institute Salzburg form the lively heart of its event program. They create regular spaces for encounter, learning and creative expression. Whether culinary, artistic, musical or discursive, they invite participants to discover, reflect and interact with one another. Each format opens up a different perspective on the coexistence of cultures and on the global contexts that shape our everyday lives.
At the World Dinner, international dishes are shared, stories are told and friendships are formed. Eating together embodies cultural diversity.
The Green Cinema shows films that encourage reflection on topics such as the environment, climate and consumption. Questions are discussed afterwards within the group.
The Global Space is an open forum for discussion on social, political and environmental issues. Different perspectives are discussed here.
The calligraphy workshops introduce participants to the art of beautiful writing. They also offer a moment of calm, concentration and cultural exchange.
The Get Together offers international students living in Salzburg with the support of the AAI a space for exchange, networking and celebration.
The djembe sessions focus on the power of rhythm. Under guidance, participants experience how drumming together can bring people together.
