Made in Africa
From the Enda running shoe from Kenya to the Mara Phone from Rwanda, from the colorful Afrisocks from Ghana to the stylish fashion label Butterpudding from South Africa - products from our neighboring continent are becoming more and more famous.
Nevertheless, Africa's share of world trade is still a marginal two percent. African politicians are therefore pinning their hopes on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), which, with 54 countries, is the largest trade bloc in the world. The reduction of tariffs and other trade barriers is intended to boost intra-African trade in particular.
The event series "Made in Africa" has its focus on the trade relations between Africa and Europe. Economic as well as development policy experts will discuss the topic in a panel discussion. At the small exposition, only products that have been accomplished in Africa will be presented. The exhibition is accompanied by the online campaign madeinafrica.at, the online talk on chances and challanges for African brands in Europe and the film screening of Wax Print.
