Empowering Dignified Menstruation
Educational Online Brunch with Radha Paudel
Many girls, women, inter- and transgender people are socially excluded and tabooed during their periods. These facts are very astonishing regarding the decisive role that menstruation has for the reproduction on earth. Radha Paudel from Nepal is a nurse and human rights activist who has been passionately raising awareness about this socially marginalized issue since she was 15 years old.
She is the co-founder of the Global South Coalition for Dignified Menstruation (GSCDM). This organization has designated December 8th as Dignified Menstruation Day and has been coordinating creative and awareness-raising actions around the world since 2019.
On Friday, 7th May 2021, we invite actors and multipliers who deal with menstruation in their work or touch upon the topic to an online educational brunch. In addition to a short input by Radha Paudel, the meeting will serve to plan actions on the 8th December and to network among the participants.
