Artificial Intelligence as a Tool for Sustainable Tourism
As one of the most fast-growing industries and also considered as an important part of the economy of many countries, the tourism industry has also been influenced by the fourth industrial revolution with the new paradigm “smart tourism”. While the influence of new technology such as artificial intelligence, big data, Internet of things, blockchain, augmented reality and virtual reality on this industry is inevitable, it is essential to ensure how technology can enhance a sustainable development of tourism. Viet Linh Phan is doing research on this topic and in this presentation, she will talk about how artificial intelligence is being applied in the tourism industry to help destinations to become “smart” and sustainable at the same time.
