The study lounge is addressed to students, who look for a place for learning in a pleasant atmosphere in the middle of the old town. There you can find enough space without disturbances of others, suited for single learning or learning groups. The facilities are available for students free of charge and the printer and WLAN can be used for free as well. There is a daily offer of coffee and cakes at student-friendly prices, but without compulsion to consume. The students also can bring their own food and drinks. Welcome voucher for coffee and cake available in the KHG secretary!
Date: from 4th of October 2021, Monday-Thursday, 10am – 4pm, Friday 10am – 2pm (during the lecture period)
Workshop for AAI scholarship holders and interested people
It is not only since the Black Lives Matter movement that demands for the decolonisation of many spheres of life have become louder: from territories, to individual products, whole institutions, to our way of knowledge production. The latter is especially linked to the struggle against global inequality. In this context, "development" is a contested term that is narrowly entangled with (de)colonisation itself. The workshop aims to analyse critically the concept of development and to discuss the decolonisation of knowledge production. We will approach this complex topic through a colourful mix of methods that leaves plenty of room for discussion.
